OUR HISTORY

KX is a part of the KOKO Networks group. KOKO imagines and delivers technology that transforms life in the world’s fastest-growing cities. The KX team was responsible for the research, design, development, and manufacture of KOKO’s flagship Fuel solution that enables clean sustainable bioethanol cooking to replace charcoal at scale.

Today, KOKO Fuel supports more than 1.2 million Kenyan households in 10 urban centers in Kenya through a network of ~3,000 IoT-enabled ATMs installed in local partner micro-retail shops.

KX has since worked on multiple venture concepts, and successfully spun out two new ventures from the KOKO group. KX has also continued to drive innovation at KOKO as well as with select external partners. KX’s multidisciplinary approach finds high impact solutions to problems faced by organizations, followed by an iterative process of prototyping-evaluating-adapting solutions until they’re ready to scale.
